The parties agreed to a long-term license agreement providing for professional management of the Banff Television Festival and ensuring its continuing status as a world-class media event. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. and was replaced by Robert Montgomery who, along with Johnathan Bulkeley out of New York, is a principal of Achilles Partners. "The Banff Television Festival and the Rockie Awards are recognized brands not only in Canada, but around the world. Banff is a must-attend event and year-in, year-out, a veritable who's who of the television industry participate. Our aim is not only to maintain Banff as the Canadian television industry's most important place to learn and to do business, but also to continue to develop the event so that it provides opportunities for people engaged in all aspects of the business from commissioning editors to writers, from producers to senior management." Monday's tribute celebration honored HBO Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) A form of oxygen therapy in which the patient breathes oxygen in a pressurized chamber. Pitching opportunities continued throughout the week and included the 20th International Market Simulation and the fourth annual New Players Pitch, both sponsored by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates Pitch," a high-def competition sponsored by Discovery Networks and NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). Four projects competed for up to $10,000 in development funding, courtesy of the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, in Telefilm Canada's Cyberpitch Competition.
