Nitto Denko Releases New Materials At SID '99 in San Jose.

Nitto Denko's new materials answer a broad range of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) A display technology that uses rod-shaped molecules (liquid crystals) that flow like liquid and bend light. Unenergized, the crystals direct light through two polarizing filters, allowing a natural background color to show.  manufacturing needs, providing brighter, clearer, thinner and lighter displays. -0-

-Polarization Conversion Film (PCF): This new material is a conceptual
     product known as a "dream polarizer", which, theoretically, could
     turn 100% of light into polarized light. It saves energy and
     brightens displays.

-FW  and EGW Polarizers: Whitens reflective and transflective LCDs and
     gives it a desirable "paper white" background. It is now
     commercially available at a reasonable cost.

-(NEW) Wide View Film With Polarizer: Thinner, while maintaining the
     same wide view angle properties.

-New Reflectors: Realize brighter images for reflective LCDs.

Nitto Denko will be present next week to share information about these new materials at the SID '99 show. Technical information will be available in Booth 533 and 535 at the San Jose Convention Center. Staff will be available for discussion during the exhibition, Tuesday through Thursday.
