Nissan Selects SDRC's I-DEAS Master Series; Multi-Year Agreement Worth More Than $12 Million.

MILFORD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1995--Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq:SDRC) today announced the signing of a new development and licensing agreement with Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, SDRC's I-DEAS Master Series(TM) software has been selected as the core technology for Nissan's next generation software system for automotive mechanical component design, concurrent engineering, and manufacturing. In addition to the software, SDRC will also provide product development and consulting services to Nissan. The total value of the agreement is in excess of $12,000,000.00 (twelve million dollars) over a three-year period, of which $2,250,000.00 was recognized in the first quarter of 1995.00

SDRC has also agreed to work out a seperate agreement with Nissan Systems Development, Ltd., NISD (a joint venture company owned by Nissan and IBM Japan), granting NISD the right to distribute I-DEAS Master Series as part of the Nissan software system called RAlpha CADS to Nissan suppliers in Japan
