There are three main characters: Elias, Shohei, and Honoria ... The plot revolves around a hilarious science fair. Elias tries to duplicate the results of his older brother's science fair project, playing different kinds of music to plants to see how the plants respond. He ropes Shohei into collaboration and the results are hysterically hys·ter·i·cal adj. 1. Of, characterized by, or arising from hysteria. 2. Having or prone to having hysterics. 3. Informal Extremely funny: told a hysterical story. funny. Honoria, meanwhile, bas a project in which she attempts to get piranhas, which will eat anything, to prefer bananas ba·nan·as adj. Slang Crazy: "That's the horrible thing when you're bananas . And so it goes.... about gifted kids, for gifted kids...." Narrators Andy Paris, Jenny Ikeda, and Norm Lee all do an impressive job, sounding very smart without compromising the youthful tones to reflect 7th grade characters. Their inflections support each character's unique personality and interaction at home and at school.
