Industry Canada's Community Access Program has contributed $135,000 towards the nine centres.

The network aims to provide affordable, convenient Internet access, and provide opportunities for innovative learning, skills development, access to government services, and business creation. The Community Access Program is helping to establish public Internet access centres in remote, rural and urban communities.

The public Internet access centres are set in these agencies:

* Chinese Chinese, subfamily of the Sino-Tibetan family of languages (see Sino-Tibetan languages), which is also sometimes grouped with the Tai, or Thai, languages in a Sinitic subfamily of the Sino-Tibetan language stock.  Family Services (three locations);

* Culture Link; Chinese Community Services Association (three locations);
