Nikken Chemicals to Transfer Three Ethical Products to Mitsubishi Pharma.


Tokyo, Japan, Nov 11, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Nikken Chemicals and Mitsubishi Pharma Mitsubishi Pharma Corporation (三菱ウェルファーマ株式会社   jointly announced on November 10 that they have agreed on the operations of three ethical products, THEODUR Granules/Tablets, ALEGYSAL tablets/dry syrup syrup /syr·up/ (sir´up) a concentrated solution of a sugar, such as sucrose, in water or other aqueous liquid, sometimes with a medicinal agent added; usually used as a flavored vehicle for drugs. , and BERACHIN tablets/dry syrup, which are currently manufactured by Mitsubishi Pharma and marketed by Nikken Chemicals.

Under the agreement terms, Nikken Chemicals will transfer the sales operations of the three products to Mitsubishi Pharma as of April 1, 2006. Until then, the two companies will continue to work in coordination to make the transition smoother.
