OpenApproval is a truly comprehensive management system in that information in the database can be shared with the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry's drug approval application software, enabling constant updates on applications. It allows management by category under manufacturer or related trades, and a detailed search engine. OpenApproval can be used in conjunction with other systems, such as Microsoft and UNIX UNIX Operating system for digital computers, developed by Ken Thompson of Bell Laboratories in 1969.
