Kinney Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to high school basketball, it was announced. Donna Kinney, Mr. Kinney's widow, will present the award between the final games of the Division One Girls and Boys Championship at the Fleet Center on March 14th. Mr. Papas is one of the most successful basketball coaches in Massachusetts history recording 340 victories in 26 years of coaching. Coach Papas is an active member of the MBCA, which nominated him for the Kinney Award, having served as its President in 1987-88. Since 1993 he has been MBCA's Promotions and Publicity Director.
