Nicaraguan youth refused visa to attend international forum on disability.


OTTAWA -- Camilo Carlos Zeyla, a young Nicaraguan with an intellectual disability was refused a travel visa to attend a conference in Ottawa. The refusal came at the last minute as he was ready to leave.

Camilo, along with most other youth with disabilities in Nicaragua and globally, does not have a paying job. He has been part of a youth network that aims to raise awareness in their country about the challenges young people with a disability face, and their ideas about building an inclusive society in Nicaragua.

Camilio and other youths were invited by the Canadian Canadian (kənā`dēən), river, 906 mi (1,458 km) long, rising in NE New Mexico. and flowing E across N Texas and central Oklahoma into the Arkansas River in E Oklahoma.  Association for Community Living, to attend a forum hosted by youth with and without disabilities from across Canada Across Canada was an afternoon program that formerly aired on The Weather Network. The segment ran from early 1999 until mid 2002. The show ran from 3:00PM ET until 7:00 PM ET.  who are meeting to discuss global issues, ways that youth with disabilities can bring their voices to these issues, and ways they can build a youth movement for inclusion.
