NextGig Adds Key Sales, Operations Executives; Database Networking Company Moves Closer to Launch of Database Network Optimization Gear.

NextGig, Inc., the leading provider of database network equipment, today announced the appointment of two key executives to its corporate team, naming Gary King as Vice President of Operations and Mark Glasgow as Vice President of Sales, Western Region. The new appointments are the latest in a series of moves to expand and support anticipated demand as the company moves closer to the launch of its first Database Network Optimization (DNO) product.

In his new role, Mr. King will be responsible for developing the infrastructure necessary to execute the NextGig vision. Prior to NextGig, Mr. King was a founder at Sliceware and Sea Mobility. Sliceware developed an internet interface server for small and medium offices. While at Sliceware, Mr. King consolidated precursor corporations and established new corporate entities and infrastructure in the United States and in Germany. Sea Mobility operated special surveillance and data communications platforms for the government. Mr. King was the first employee of Sea Mobility and developed the organization into a group of corporations with about 1,000 employees and $60 million in annual revenues. Following Sea Mobility's acquisition by DynCorp, Mr. King became an employee of DynCorp and served as the President of DynCorp's subsidiary corporations developed from the acquisition.

Mark Glasgow brings 13 years of sales and sales management experience to his position as NextGig's named Vice President of Sales, Western Region. Mr. Glasgow will be responsible for the sales organization covering the West and Central regions of the United States. Glasgow started his career in 1991 at a pre-IPO optical storage company Pinnacle Micro, where he became top salesman and contributed to Pinnacle's successful IPO in 1994. He also held key sales management positions at NEC, Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. and IBM. As Vice President of Sales for Talk2 Technology, Inc., Glasgow was responsible for building the North American sales force and was instrumental closing revenue deals at several major telecommunications carriers.

NextGig is currently developing the industry's first network query optimizer. The product transparently installs in the network between database client and server to alleviate the database performance bottleneck. NextGig plans to unveil the query optimizer later this year followed by subsequent products in database replication and overall solution enhancement.
