Rebecca Callahan was appointed vice president to sales at NetCurrents, an Internet consulting firm in Los Angeles. She will assist with the launch and growth of the company's business-to-business services. Callahan was most recently vice president of sales for Datalink.net in San Jose.

Architecture

Bruce Morimoto was named executive director at JCM Facilities Planning and Management in Long Beach. He will be responsible for interior design projects. Morimoto was previously director of design at WWCOT in Santa Monica.

Associations

Jeremy Davies was elected president of the Los Angeles British American Chamber of Commerce. He will work to broaden opportunities for L.A. companies to expand into the United Kingdom, and vice versa. Davies is currently a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Banking & Finance

Patrick Moore was name vice president of Metropolitan West Asset Management, a fixed-income investment firm in Los Angeles. He will communicate investment strategies to clients and investment consultants. Moore was most recently vice president of asset consulting at Bankers Trust in Los Angeles.

Peter K. Yue was appointed executive vice president and director of retail banking for East West Bancorp in San Marino. He will be responsible for managing branch network development, retail operations and retail branch marketing. Yue was previously vice chairman and chief executive of Universal Bank in Orange.

Entertainment

Sidney Clifton was promoted to director of television development at Film Roman in North Hollywood. She will over see all incoming television development projects and pitch television projects to potential co-producers and network executives. Clifton was most recently manager of television development for the company.

Stephen Earley was named vice president of promotions marketing for Viewer's Choice in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for developing marketing and branding efforts. Earley was most recently director of national promotions for Twentieth Century Fox Film.

Bonnie Fallone Otto was promoted to vice president of financial administration and operations for domestic distributions at Warner Bros. Pictures in Burbank. She will oversee cash, management, cash collections and operations for the U.S. and Canada. Otto was previously director of branch operations.

Bryan Unger was promote to Western executive director of the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for member services and contract enforcement in the Western region. Unger was most recently associate Western executive director.

High Tech

Bert Kus was named vice president of manufacturing at Global Communication Semiconductors. He will manage all aspects of manufacturing. Kus was most recently plant manager at Conexant Systems in Newport Beach.

Hospitality

Charles de Foucault was appointed general manager at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey. He will oversee all hotel operations. De Foucault was most recently hotel manager at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel.

Barbara Held was named associate vice president of advertising and promotions for the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau. She will oversee consumer marketing programs and the bureau's Web site. Held was most recently manager of advertising events at the Los Angeles Times.

Law

Kathleen E. Bailey, Cranston Williams and Andrew Lurie were named partners at Baker & Hostetler in Los Angeles. Bailey and Williams concentrate in general litigation. Lurie specializes in entertainment law. All three were previously associates with the firm.

Tracy L. Cahill, Jeffrey K Eisen, Jeffrey D. Goldman and Thomas P. Seitz were promoted to partners at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp in Los Angeles. Cahill specializes in management representation in labor and employment disputes. Eisen focuses on estate planning and administration of estates and trusts. Goldman is a trial attorney concentrating on intellectual property, entertainment and complex business litigation. Seitz. specializes in commercial litigation cases involving class, actions, attorney malpractice, and securities fraud. All were previously associates with the firm.

Stanley Gibson and David Kalifon were named partners at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler and Marmaro in Los Angeles. Gibson concentrates on litigation, including government contracts and legal malpractice, and Kalifon specializes in health care law and cases. Gibson was previously an associate with the firm and Kalifon was of counsel.

Michael D. Ryan was appointed partner at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory in Los Angeles. He will join the firm's labor and employment practice. Ryan was most recently a partner with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles. -

Judy Jablonski was promoted to publisher at LA Weekly in Los Angeles. She will oversee advertising, marketing, new business development, new media, production and administration. Jablonski was previously associate publisher. Lynn Foland was promoted to director of administration. She will be responsible for human resources, budgeting and revenue projects and operations. Foland was most recently director of human resources. Also, Kelly Mayfield was promoted to marketing director. She will be responsible for marketing activities, creating promotional materials, and advertising and public relations. Mayfield was previously general manager for the paper.

Diego T. Ruiz was promoted to vice president and general manager of Univision Online, the Internet division of Univision Communications, in Los Angeles. He will manage day-to-day operations and site content, acting as liaison between the Internet and station properties of the company. Ruiz was most recently station manager of Univision's KMEX-TV Channel 34 in Los Angeles.

New Media

Julie Fields was appointed senior vice president of creative development at Iwin.com, a Santa Monica-based game and entertainment site. She will be responsible for the site's creative direction, content, advertising and brand identity. Fields was most recently vice president of creative services at E! Entertainment Television. Also, Erik Stroman, Jenny Benidt and Scott Kaufman were named vice presidents. Stroman and will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities, and was most recently vice president of integrated sales and marketing at Fox Sports Net. Benidt will be responsible for corporate communications and was previously head of public relations at TVN Entertainment in Burbank. Kaufman will oversee business development and was most recently with Yucaipa Cos.

John Pleasants was promoted to president of Ticket master Online-CitySearch in Pasadena. He will oversee each of the company's main operating businesses, which include ticketmaster.com and citysearch.com. Pleasants was most recently president of ticketing and transportation. Also, Dan Marriott was promoted to executive vice president of corporate strategy and development He will be responsible for strategy development and deal leadership. Marriott was most recently executive vice president of business development.

John Reweda was named vice president of content acquisition at MeTV.com in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for working with movie studios and independents to acquire content for the entertainment site. Reweda was most recently vice president of film buying for American Multi Cinema.

Real Estate

Tim Carey was promoted to senior vice president of construction services for the mixed-use division of Catellus Development Corp. in Los Angeles. He will oversee construction services for mixed-use developments in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. Carey was most recently vice president of construction services.

Bob Froman was named president of Kennedy-Wilson Hospitality in Beverly Hills. He will oversee the hospitality division. Froman was previously executive vice president of development for Interstate Hotel Corp. in Pittsburgh. Also, Robert E. Hart was appointed senior vice president for the firm's residential investments group. He will be responsible for residential acquisitions. Hart was most recently senior vice president of portfolio management for Heitman Capital Management.
