Newsboys Create Ground-Breaking Christian Music Festival Series - Festival Con Dios Planned for 30+ Cities; An Unprecedented Joint Production by Four Top Music Companies.

Plans for the first-ever multi-city traveling Christian Music Christian music is music that is written to express either personal or a communal belief regarding the Christian life, as well as (in terms of contemporary music) to give a Christian alternative to main stream secular music.  Festival series, Festival Con Dios Festival Con Dios was a Christian rock traveling music festival that began in fall 2001. The first festival was started by The Newsboys and also featured Audio Adrenaline and The O.C. Supertones. This was one of the largest CCM traveling festivals to date.  (Festival of God) was announced Friday at a press conference held at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center. The Festivals will feature headliners and creators of Festival Con Dios, Newsboys Newsboys is a Christian pop band. The band was formed in Australia in 1985 and has been one of the most popular and best selling Christian music artists of the past two decades. , along with Audio Adrenaline Audio Adrenaline was a Christian rock band that formed in the early 1990s at Kentucky Christian College in Grayson, Kentucky, U.S.. Along with dc Talk, Newsboys and Jars of Clay, they quickly became one of the most successful Christian pop-rock bands of the 90s.  and The O.C. Supertones as well as a total of ten artists per event. Marking the first traveling rock Festival of this magnitude, Festival Con Dios will bring established performers, nationally renowned speakers and its own portable stage and venue for a full-blown Festival "experience" in both stadium and major shopping mall parking lots nationwide.

), the leading entertainment agency in America and Brickhouse Entertainment, a management and event promotions company, have joined forces to produce this latest festival entity, which is the first of its kind in the entire music industry.

The first date of Festival Con Dios is May 17th in Ft. Myers, Florida, and along with the headliners Newsboys (Sparrow), Audio Adrenaline (ForeFront) and The O.C. As one of the festival's sponsors, Sparrow Label Group and ForeFront Records will execute an extensive joint marketing campaign. It will target both the Festivals themselves as well as cross-promotion with the current album releases of the featured artists. The aggressive campaign will include retail positioning, national radio advertising buys and promotion, Internet marketing See Internet advertising. , youth pastor initiatives and publicity coverage on the national and local levels.

The Press conference at Gaylord Entertainment Center preceded Newsboys concert that night at that venue which also featured Audio Adrenaline. The concert was also downlinked via satellite for a live broadcast to more than 200 churches where youth groups gathered as part of World Vision's 30-Hour Famine. In addition, the event was taped for a live in-concert television special carried by Music Choice, to air in more than 250 markets nationwide during the month of April.
