"ASARCO forced our members into these strikes," said USW District 12 Director Terry Bonds. "We owe it to future generations of ASARCO workers to stand up for what is just." Bonds said that he is proud of USW members for having the courage to fight for fairness and dignity against an employer that is clearly willing to break the law in order to break the solidarity of the Union. "We will not allow ASARCO to take advantage of our members," Bonds said, "and we will continue to hold this company accountable until we feel that justice has been served." |
