Newmark sponsors WISE young girl.


In an effort to promote excellence in education, Newmark has sponsored the WISE (Working in Support of Education) Quality of Life Program for New York City New York City: see New York, city.
New York City

 high school students.

Each year, more than 1,400 students participate in the scholarship and implementation program, which requires them to develop an expertise in important community issues through field research and analysis.

In its third consecutive year as a WISE contributor, Newmark has helped provide tools and funding for high school teenagers who have demonstrated academic greatness and leadership.

This year, the firm sponsored the second place winner of the Quality of Life Program. Samantha Scully, a 15-year-old high school junior from Sheep-shead Bay High School in Brooklyn, won the distinguished award for her proposal to prevent health problems through an awareness campaign for improved hand hygiene hygiene, science of preserving and promoting the health of both the individual and the community. It has many aspects: personal hygiene (proper living habits, cleanliness of body and clothing, healthful diet, a balanced regimen of rest and exercise); domestic hygiene  among high school students.

Among Newmark's other contributions to WISE was assisting in building a new library.

Working In Support of Education is a New York City-based educational organization whose mission is to improve learning outcomes through programs that stress real-world learning opportunities and focus on leadership/civic engagement, career readiness and financial education.

Formerly known as Merging Business & Academics, WISE provides direct services to both children and educators.
