Newmark reps Mack Co. on 600,000 s/f deal.

Paul E. Giannone, CCIM, managing principal of Newmark's Woodbridge, New Jersey office, announced that Automated Distribution Systems leased 359,950 square feet of space at 23 Mack Drive in Edison, New Jersey.

Newmark's Robert A. Dinner and Daniel E. Frankel, principals, served as exclusive leasing agent at this facility and represented the owner, The Mack Company, in this transaction. Binswanger/Klatskin represented the tenant.

"We are pleased to have represented Mack during the leasing and marketing effort for this industrial facility in one of New Jersey's prime industrial hubs," stated Dinner. "Automated Distribution Systems required a larger space than its former Edison location for its warehousing needs and also sought a convenient relocation. 23 Mack Drive offered the Company a great location just two blocks from its previous address and met all of its operational needs."

"This is the second of two transactions totaling more than 600,000 square feet in just over a year for which Newmark has been successful as exclusive agent for Mack," Frankel added.

The first transaction was completed at the end of 2003. John Turano & Sons purchased a 256,000-square-foot building at 1532 South Washington Avenue in Piscataway, New Jersey.

A prime location for industrial users, 23 Mack Drive is just off Interstate 287 with direct access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1, 9 and 27. In addition, 23 Mack Drive includes 15,000 square feet of office space and offers such features as 20'-24' clear ceiling heights, 35 loading docks, most with levelers, parking for up to 550 cars, wet sprinklers, 1,000 amps of power, gas heat and possible rail service. Corporate neighbors include Electrolux and A & P Supermarkets.
