Newmark Retail completes Third Avenue assignment.

Newmark Retail has announced that it has successfully completed the retail leasing assignment at 711 Third Avenue for SL Green Realty Corp.

Bridge Kitchenware, the 60-year-old purveyor of kitchen equipment, has signed a lease for the remaining 3,000 square feet on East 45th Street and will join Independence Bank in the space that formerly housed Eddie Bauer on the corner of 45th Street.

For the corner portion, asking rents were $200 per square foot, and for the 45th street $65 per square foot.

"We are very pleased to have been able to provide a new home for a venerable New York institution like Bridge Kitchenware," said Jeffrey D. Roseman, executive vice president of Newmark Retail, who, along with Jonas Wanning, associate of Newmark Retail, represented the landlord, SL Green Realty Corp. for both transactions. Roger Eulau of Lansco represented Bridge Kitchenware.

"Bridge Kitchenware was being forced to leave its present location, and the landlord saw the value of having an institution like this in its building," said Roseman.
