Newmark JGT off to strong start since merger.

Having reached the sixth month point after the merger of Jacobson, Goldfarb & Tanzman Company, L.L.C. and Newmark's New Jersey operations, the newly formed Newmark JGT is off to a very fast start. Since its formation, Newmark JGT has catapulted into the third largest commercial real estate services firm in New Jersey. The firm now employs 35 professionals in Rutherford and Woodbridge, N.J.

Highlights of the first six months for Newmark JGT include:

* The sale of 394 Elizabeth Ave., a 78,450-SF facility, in Somerset to Emcore Corporation.

* The sale of 1000 S. Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard, a 65,000-SF facility, in Harrison to Metro Plastics, Inc.

* The sale of 10 Lake Drive in East Windsor, a 64,000-SF facility, to Neil Laboratories on behalf of Primedia, Inc.

* The sale of One HIP Plaza in North Brunswick to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The facility is a 60,000-SF office building situated on 13 acres.

* A 46,579-SF lease closed on behalf of Eagle Insurance at 200 Metroplex Drive in Edison.

* A 25,584-SF lease was signed with Peaktop International Holding at 410 Commerce Boulevard in Carlstadt.

* The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States signed a lease for 24,660-SF at 90 Woodbridge Center Drive in Woodbridge. Newmark JGT represented the landlord, Cenwood Associates, in this transaction.

* Lucent Technologies, Inc. signed a lease for 24,302 SF of space at Holmdel Corporate Plaza in Holmdel. Newmark JGT represented the landlord, 213 Associates, L.P. in this transaction.

* Utility Trailer Sales of New Jersey signed a 23,054-SF lease at 589 Nassau Street in North Brunswick. Newmark JGT represented the landlord, 601 Nassau Street Associates in this transaction.

* A 22,500-SF lease was closed on behalf of Agro Dynamics at 95 Hope Road in Eatontown.

* A 21,169-SF lease was closed on behalf of Geneva Pharmaceuticals at 101 Morgan Lane in Plainsboro.

* A 14,470-SF lease was closed on behalf of Q Research. Solutions at Renaissance Corporate Center at 3370 Route 9 South in Old Bridge.
