Newmark, Savannah, Moinian unite to form KickStartUSA.com.

Newmark & Company Real Estate Inc., Savannah Partners, and the Moinian Group, with a combined portfolio of more than 50 million SF of commercial space under management and ownership, has collaborated to create KickStart (www.KickStartUSA.com). Kickstart will be comprised of a series of technology-ready, short-term office suite facilities, which will house early-stage technology-based companies and service providers.

KickStart's first facility and flagship location is a free-standing, 45,000 SF building located in the heart of New York's newest emerging E-technology district at 535 W. 34th St. in Midtown Manhattan. The location, dubbed KickStart at 34th was officially launched in mid-September, with a second facility in the Wall St. area set to open in the fall of this year. Additional KickStart sites will be launched in major urban centers across the country in 2001.

With Newmark and Company, one of New York's largest publicly-held commercial real estate firms, KickStart will provide tenants with access to a wide range of real estate solutions once they outgrow the KickStart facility.

KickStart has designated the main floor of the KickStart at 34th St. property for service providers specializing in web design, legal, accounting, public relations/marketing, human resources staffing, real estate, and information technology. KickStart views access to these pre-screened service providers as an important, value-added component to the overall success of KickStart clients.

Designed by the award-winning firm of STUDIOS Architecture and developed by Savanna Partners and The Moinian Group, the flagship 34th St. location is a six-story, free-standing building with more than 45,000 SF of office and public space, including a rooftop terrace, a courtyard garden, and a four-star gourmet cafe. In addition to the fully furnished and technology-ready office suites, the site provides tenants with state-of-the- art meeting and training facilities, conference rooms, a mail and copy center, and a concierge service.

KickStart is the first such venture for the three real estate developers, who plan to use the 34th St. facility as a model for a nationwide launch.
