Newest Acog is brilliant.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

The latest addition to the Trijicon Acog (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) line of Brilliant Aiming Solutions is the rugged 6 x 48 Acog (TA648MGO) weapon sight for tripod-mounted medium and heavy machine guns. The sight features either a red or amber chevron aiming point and has an integrated bullet drop compensator that allows for accurate aiming for 5.56 mm M855 out to 800 metres, 7.62 M80 to 1200 and .50 BMG rounds out to 1800 metres. A manual brightness adjustment allows the user to shade the fibre optics during daylight use. This new Acog sight includes a top-mount picatinny rail for stacking an optic on the top of the unit. Trijicon's 6 x 48 Acog is housed in an aluminium alloy with a hard anodised coating--the optic is waterproof to 100 metres and filled with nitrogen to eliminate fogging--a requirement in any environment (see Complete Guide to Jungle Warfare published with this issue).
