NewBay Software Launches Developer Program for Mobile SyncML; NewBay's FonePIM Developer Program is a Free Online Test Service Designed to Reduce Time to Market and Development Costs for Mobile SyncML Clients.

DUBLIN, Ireland -- NewBay Software, a leading developer of mobile data services, today announced availability of the first mobile SyncML program that is uniquely designed for developers to test SyncML v1.1.2 and v1.2 clients. NewBay's FonePIM Developer Program is a free online service where developers can test their SyncML clients and view status, logs and other system information against the FonePIM server. This program is uniquely designed to reduce time to market and development costs for all SyncML clients.

NewBay's FonePIM Developer Program enables developers to instantly test SyncML mobile clients against a live FonePIM service. FonePIM is a carrier grade mobile synchronization (1) See synchronous and synchronous transmission.

"All developers of SyncML clients must test their implementation against a SyncML server. With NewBay's FonePIM Developer Program, companies no longer need to waste time configuring their own SyncML server, instead they can immediately start testing with the added advantage of receiving real time reports and valuable debug To correct a problem in hardware or software. The FonePIM Developer Program provides:
1. Server side error logs highlighting to developers where their code
    is failing;
2. Full transcripts of each synchronization allowing developers to
    scrutinize their protocol implementation;
3. Roll back functionality that enables developers to revert to a
    prior state, so they can repeat a test exactly, pinpointing the
    impact of their code changes;
4. A resource centre with full access to standards and discussion
    whitepapers;
5. The framework to establish a SyncML developer community with FAQs
    and direct interaction via a message board;
    Coming soon:
