New way to test colorant dispersibility.

Davis-Standard Corp. in Pawcatuck, Conn., has combined a standard 1-in. extruder with a melt pump, pressure sensors, filter screen, control panel, and display to test how well a color masterbatch disperses in a compound. An optional computer is needed to plot the pressure changes. The test device is called the KXE FPV-pump. It tests masterbatches against the new European DIN and EN standards This is an incomplete list of European CEN and CENELEC standards: EN 1-999
