New towers.
NEW TOWERS. Choice Wireless announced the completion of five new
tower sites in the Virgin Islands to boost accessibility and connection
speeds for its Internet customer, reports The Virgin Islands Daily News
(June 18, 2012). On St. Croix, the new tower sites are located at
Mary's Fancy, Grove Place and Hotel on the Cay and service downtown
Christiansted. On St. Thomas, several new network upgrades have been
completed, and a new tower has been added at Sugar Estate. Choice
Wireless said it plans to install five more tower sites before the end
of the year. Those sites include Bugby Hole on St. Croix and four sites
on St. Thomas: Stalley/Hillcrest, Frenchtown for the western part of the
island, Caret Bay and Mahogany Run.
