New technology for large-scale 3D geospatial data publishing.

Keyhole Corporation has introduced a major upgrade to all components of the Keyhole enterprise system, including the data-processing tool suite Keyhole 2 Fusion, the highly scalable server Keyhole 2 Server, and the sophisticated end user 3D client software Keyhole 2 EC. The new Keyhole 2 enterprise system introduces support for grid networks A grid network is a kind of computer network consisting of a number of (computer) systems connected in a grid topology.

In a regular grid topology, each node in the network is connected with two neighbors along one or more dimensions.
, enabling massive quantities of data to be processed across dozens of CPUs. The system offers unprecedented scale, speed, and ease of use--enabling users in government and corporate organizations to distribute their geospatial Geospatial is a term widely used to describe the combination of spatial software and analytical methods with terrestrial or geographic datasets. The term is often used in conjunction with geographic information systems and geomatics.  data virtually without limits.

"All companies and government agencies that collect GIS (1) (Geographic Information System) An information system that deals with spatial information. Often called "mapping software," it links attributes and characteristics of an area to its geographic location.  data are now able to easily publish in the high-performance and visually compelling Keyhole 3D environment," said John Hanke John Hanke is the founder and CEO of Keyhole, Inc., which was acquired by Google in 2004 and whose flagship product was renamed to Google Earth. Hanke is currently the director of Google Earth & Google Maps. , Keyhole CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. The Keyhole 2 enterprise suite offers the ability to create private "virtual servers," or specialized databases, for individual workgroups. With Keyhole 2 Fusion, vector information can be integrated into behind-the-firewall custom databases and into Keyhole's massive Internet-hosted ASP database.
