New software predicts PET bottle shelf life.

The PETWall thickness-monitoring system from AGR AGR advanced gas-cooled reactor  TopWave LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

, Butler, Pa., is newly available with an integrated shelf-life management system. This enables blow molders to proactively manage shelf-life characteristics of PET containers as they are produced. The add-on A purchase of additional goods before payment is made for goods already purchased.

An add-on may be covered by a clause in an installment payment contract that allows the seller to hold a security interest in the earlier goods until full payment is made on the later goods.

by the M-Rule software and used to map material utilization in relation to shelf life for the bottles being produced. Results of the analysis are displayed on the PET-Wallplus monitor and are continuously updated, providing operators with an easy-to-understand visual indication of material utilization and predicted shelf life of containers. AGR TopWave says that by adjusting machine parameters that affect material distribution, processors can produce containers with optimal shelf-life and performance.

PETWallplus with Shelf-life Management System allows bottle shelf-life to be predicted in real time. It reduces dependence on time-consuming off-line or laboratory testing and slashes reaction time for detecting and solving problems. The add-on software is priced under $10,000.
