New small dryers use hot air, membrane, or desiccant.Two basic types of small dryers were recently introduced by AEC AEC US Atomic Energy Commission Noun 1. Also new are the ASD ASD abbr. atrial septal defect ASD Atrial septal defect, see there Series mini-dryers, a more compact line of dual-desiccant models in capacities of 15, 30, and 60 cfm. Cabinets are as small as 12 x 24 in. They use AEC's HiCore design, which places heaters within the hollow cores of the desiccant desiccant /des·ic·cant/ (des´i-kant) 1. promoting dryness. 2. an agent that promotes dryness. des·ic·cant n. canisters for improved heating efficiency.
