New shopping center under construction in Woodbury. (Retail New York).


Construction is underway on a 228,000-SF "power" strip shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region.  centers--the 220-store Woodbury Common Premium Outlets Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, is an outlet center located in Central Valley, New York. The center is part of the Chelsea Premium Outlets group and takes its name from the town in which it is located.  in Orange County.

The new 68-acre development, to be known as Woodbury Centre, is scheduled to open this Fall with a wide variety of well known retail tenants, including Kohl's, Linens 'N Things Linens 'n Things, Inc., headquartered in Clifton, New Jersey, is the second-largest large-format retailers of home textiles, housewares and decorative home accessories in the United States, behind Bed Bath & Beyond. , Staples, Michaels Crafts, T.G.I. Fridays and Pizzeria Uno.

Woodbury Centre is owned by Allied Partners, the Manhattan-based real estate investment and finance company headed by Eric Hadar. Faison, a nationally prominent shopping center development firm, has been retained as the fee developer and leasing agent for the project. The property, which also includes a 150-room fully approved hotel site, is strategically located at Exit 16 of the New York State Thruway The New York State Thruway (officially the Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway) is a limited-access toll highway in the U.S. state of New York. Built in the 1950s by the State of New York in order to connect the major cities of New York, it is the longest toll road in the , at the intersection of Route 17/32 and Route 6.

"You couldn't ask for a more exciting retail location," asserted Hadar, who noted that Woodbury Centre was already 81 % pre-leased, with the balance of the space currently under negotiation.

Richard B. Kabat, managing director of Faison, who is heading the project's development and leasing efforts from his Bethesda, MD office, noted that Woodbury Centre is adjacent to "one of America's great outlet centers and at the epicenter of an area enjoying tremendous growth. Our retailers couldn't be happier that over 100,000 cars pass by the site daily," he added.

In addition to its high profile outlet neighbor, Woodbury Centre is also located in close proximity to an existing Super Wal-Mart, a Home Depot and a soon-to-be constructed BJ's Wholesale Club BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. NYSE: BJ is a membership-only warehouse club chain operating in the East Coast of the United States, as well as in the state of Ohio. History . Approximately 500,000 people live within a 15-mile radius of the property.
