New servo motors from Baldor.

Baldor have launched a range of brushless servo motors optimised for use in clean environments such as food packaging and processing lines, or hostile operating situations such as inside machine tools. The range introduces a new performance option for OEMs, allowing them to deliver higher speeds, accelerations and positioning accuracies in machinery and automation. The new servo motors - the Baldor WBSM WBSM West Bank School of Music (Minneapolis, MN)  Series - are designed to withstand high-pressure washdown Washdown (also wash down) is the process of high-pressure cleaning with water and/or chemicals in industries such as food and beverage and pharmaceuticals. A washdown is usually a manual operation and is designed to kill bacteria and other micro-organisms.  environments. Among the protection features incorporated are a white epoxy coating, stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

Together, these features prevent water and cleaning agents from entering the housings. In combination with the maintenance-free brushless design and a thermal cutout cut·out

Users ha ve a choice of 13 motor options, spanning continuous stall torque ratings from 1.6 -20 Nm (14 - 177 lb-in), with the option of custom designs offering up to 41 Nm (366 il-in) for special requirements. Rated speeds range from 1200 - 4000 RPM, with up to 7000RPM optionally available. A rugged brushless resolver is integrated into the motor for simple system building.
