New retail tenants sign at Pan Am Building

With two recent deals, the retail space in the Pan Am Building, 200 Park Avenue, is now fully occupied.

DHL Airways, Inc., the prominent overnight mail and freight carrier, will open a new service center, announced MetLife/Real Estate Investments, owner of the 2.9-million-square-foot tower. Marvin Rosenthal of The Shorenstein Company East, the building's exclusive leasing and management agent, negotiated the five-year transaction on behalf of MetLife. Barry Gross of Kalmon Delgin Affiliates, Inc. acted on behalf of the tenant, which will occupy street-level lobby space.

"DHL's lease successfully completes our leasing effort for 200 Park Avenue's retail space, and significantly adds to the building's array of quality on-site tenant services," said Lynn Signorelli, senior investment analyst for MetLife, and a member of the building's asset management team.

Godiva Chocolatier, Inc., the preeminent chocolate and confections retailer, will open its newest Manhattan store at the Pan Am Building.

Clifford J. Waldron, vice president of The Shorenstein Company East, the building's exclusive leasing and management agent, represented MetLife in the 10-year transaction. Carole Greene of New Spectrum Realty Services acted on behalf of the tenant.

Godiva will occupy street-level lobby space facing the Grand Staircase.

"With its consistent internal and external traffic and well-recognized address, the Pan Am Building offers an unparalleled presence for retailers," said A.J. "Bud" Sell, manager of real estate for Godiva.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome another quality retailer to our building, and anticipate a warm reception for Godiva by both our tenants, and the thousands of pedestrians that pass through 200 Park Avenue daily," added Lynn Signorelli, senior investment analyst for MetLife and a member of the building's asset management team.
