New regional director at CPC.


The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) has announced the appointment of Kenneth D. Bell as regional director of CPC's Rochester office.

Bell brings to CPC an extensive background in banking, having held senior executive positions with two leading Rochester area banks over the past 27 years.

Prior to joining CPC, he was president of HSBC Bank USA, N.A.'s Central Region, a position assumed in 2004. From 2000 to 2004, he served as HSBC's executive vice president, responsible for all of the commercial and retail business in the 22-county region which includes Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton and Watertown. Prior to joining HSBC, Bell spent 17 years with First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Rochester, where he headed the branch network. When First Federal was acquired by HSBC, Bell was named senior vice president of HSBC's Investment Services Division.

Bell holds a bachelor's degree in public accounting from Utica College of Syracuse University.

Active in his community, Bell serves on a number of boards including Utica College, WXXI, Junior Achievement, Strong Hospital, Garth Fagan Dance, The United Way of Greater Rochester and Eltrex Industries, Inc. He resides in Rochester with his wife and four children.
