New bulletins

The PRC provides information and clinical consultations for health professionals via e-mail and telephone, and offers them library and literature search services. The PRC also publishes bulletins on the most effective professional approaches to MS treatment and care.

This fall, four new Clinical Bulletins were published. Aging with MS, Swallowing Disorders Swallowing Disorders Definition

Swallowing disorders include a number of diseases and conditions that cause difficulty in passing food or liquid from the mouth to the stomach.
 and their Management, Assessment and Treatment of Sexual Dysfunction sexual dysfunction

Inability to experience arousal or achieve sexual satisfaction under ordinary circumstances, as a result of psychological or physiological problems.
, and a newly revised Overview of Multiple Sclerosis multiple sclerosis (MS), chronic, slowly progressive autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks the protective myelin sheaths that surround the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord (a process called demyelination), resulting in damaged areas  were added to the 16 existing bulletins.

All Clinical Bulletins can be read online, downloaded, or e-mailed from the PRC's home page.

More "how to" help Series II of the popular Talking with Your MS Patients About Difficult Topics, designed to foster discussions about disease-modifying therapies, rehabilitation rehabilitation: see physical therapy. , family challenges, stress, life planning, and reproductive issues, is also newly available online or from any Society chapter.
