recently announced its participation in the development of a dynamic new
partnership initiative to encourage youth entrepreneurship in the
Saskatoon region.

We Can program is designed to promote the fact that Saskatoon region youth can, and are, achieving success through entrepreneurship, right here at home. "Inspiration drives youth entrepreneurship," says Danea Armstrong, president of the Saskatoon Junior Chamber of Commerce and Community Services Co-ordinator for SREDA. "This program not only gives Saskatoon a chance to celebrate the new successes achieved by young entrepreneurs, but also creatively markets entrepreneurship as a viable option for even younger people and students still in school." The program will profile the achievements of successful entrepreneurs age 35 and under at monthly breakfast meetings that will be held for aboriginal and non-aboriginal youth, members of the business community, and financial advisers and investors. "With so many options for our youth to choose from (the good, the bad and the ugly) this program provides encouragement and practical insight into entrepreneurship' said George Lafond, tribal chief, Saskatoon Tribal Council.
