New production technology for Ohio ethanol plant.Mercer Energy's HydroMill[TM] plant will maximize the economic viability of ethanol as an alternative fuel. The Celina, Ohio, plant is one of the country's first ethanol producers to utilize a revolutionary production technology that maximizes the economic viability of ethanol as a source of alternative fuel. In addition to production of clean-burning ethanol for use as fuel, the HydroMill(TM) ethanol plant employs a corn-fractionation process that creates high-quality feed products. Unlike a more conventional dry-mill ethanol production process, the HydroMill fractionates the corn it uses to produce ethanol into these feed products--germ, protein and fiber feed products. In addition, the corn germ created by the HyrdoMill will be further refined into human food grade corn oil, which avoids diverting agricultural production away from food crops. "The corn-fractionation process our proposed plant employs will allow Mercer Energy to create additional revenue, higher profitability and long-term sustainability in the industry for all feed and fuel products," said Ryan J. Schwieterman, president and CEO of Mercer Energy. Mercer Energy, Inc., Celina, Ohio, tel: 866 701-2676, fax: 866 406-4712; www.MercerEnergy.com. |
