"PM&R" will be published monthly and is designed to carry clinical, evidence-based research and review information that will impact the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Elsevier said, and includes coverage of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and pain, neurologic conditions involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, rehabilitation of impairments associated with disabilities in adults and children, and neurophysiology and electrodiagnosis.
It is targeted to practitioners and researchers in a variety of medical and surgical specialties. The first issue include articles on the role of genetic testing, rehabilitation needs at Veteran's hospitals, disparities in stroke rehabilitation, the influence of minority status on job stability after a traumatic brain injury, intravenous sedation, and pharmaceutical transparency.
Mosby's Nursing Skills online procedures reference, nursing skills and competency management system has launched its Maternal-Newborn Collection, a set of 72 web-based demonstrations deigned to help institutions improve nursing care. Nursing Skills, launched in 2006, is designed to help nurses, nurse managers and nurse educators stay current with training needs.
Content includes coverage of ante-partum, intra-partum and post-partum care of women and newborns, the range of maternal care, patient-family teaching and guidance for assessing and caring for pregnant women, new mothers, newborns and families.
