Lastly, I have to boast that the Chamber's Mackinac Policy Conference is a "best practice" example ("Global Competitiveness," page 8). This year's conference was another great success. Sure, we had record attendance and great weather, but more importantly, attendees participated in thought-provoking sessions and meaningful dialogue--dialogue that's continuing long after we left the Island. And in the true spirit of a best practice, we continue to get calls from other chambers of commerce wanting to follow our lead in creating similar events for their communities. It's a practice we look forward to continuing for a long time. RICHARD E. BLOUSE JR., CCE CCE Cornell Cooperative Extension CCE Corporate and Continuing Education CCE Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc.
