New mold materials in the mirror blocks and redesigned cooling channels reportedly achieve greater temperature uniformity and consistency, providing a broader operating window. A diamond-like carbon coating on the mirror block is said to give a smoother, more wear-resistant surface than a standard titanium nitride coating. Also, a new polishing process is used on several mold parts to enhance reliability in fast-cycle operation. Tel: (949) 360-9400 * PTDirect: 662QH [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] |
