New mini extruder line.A line of laboratory single- and twin-screw extruders and mini dies and downstream equipment from four-year-old Rondol Technology Ltd. in the U.K. is newly available here from A. Routsis Associates Inc., Dracut, Mass., a supplier of plastics training materials. The 15- to 18-mm diam. mini extruders weigh only 80 lb and run on single-phase household power, but they can be fed standard-size pellets. Besides R&D, they can be used for striping Interleaving or multiplexing data to increase speed.
