New members join the AMAA board. (Member News).On April 2 0th, at the annual Board of Directors meeting, Ronald S. Dubin, M.D., and LTC LTC abbr. lieutenant colonel Francis G. O'Connor, M.D., FACSM FACSM Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. FACSM abbr. Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine , were elected to join the AMAA AMAA Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act of 1937 AMAA American Medical Athletic Association AMAA American Maine-Anjou Association AMAA Afghan Medical Association of America AMAA Armenian Missionary Association of America, Inc. Board. Dubin, who has been in practice for 16 years as an orthopedic surgeon in Middlesboro, KY is also an avid pilot and notes, "I love flying my plane to various marathons for weekend getaways." He's completed 13 marathons and one ultra marathon, and has already filled his fall calendar with races he'd like to run. Dubin has been a regular attendee at the AMAA Sports Medicine sports medicine, branch of medicine concerned with physical fitness and with the treatment and prevention of injuries and other disorders related to sports. Knee, leg, back, and shoulder injuries; stiffness and pain in joints; tendinitis; "tennis elbow"; and Symposium at Boston and this past April joined the faculty to present on "Athletes with Limitations," a talk focusing on the long distance runner with artificial joint replacement or other limitations that affect performance abilities. O'Connor, the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences The university currently has two mottos: "Learning to Care For Those In Harm's Way" and "Providing Good Medicine In Bad Places." USU School of Medicine With an enrollment of approximately 167 students per class, USU School of Medicine is located in Bethesda, Maryland on the in Bethesda, MD, has been instrumental in helping to plan and implement the annual AMAA Sports Medicine Symposium at the Marine Corps Marathon.
