DMX Music, which provides music to homes and businesses via digital cable, Internet and satellites, has promoted Robyn Lipari as vice president of the broadband division where she will develop distribution strategies for North and Latin America. She previously served as the Los Angeles company's vice president of affiliate sales and marketing. DMX also hired Michael Quigley as vice president of business development. He most recently created business plans for interactive commerce networks at Liberty Digital Inc.

Patricia Tay has accepted the newly created position of senior business development associate on the sales and development team at Imagistic, a Venice-based Web technology and design services company. She came from Los Angeles e-business consulting firm Divine, where she managed its western regional field marketing department.

Applied Semantics Inc., a software tools and applications provider for information management, has brought on Jordan Libit as its chief executive in charge of development of strategic initiatives. Most recently, Libit was a managing partner of Peninsula Strategy Partners, a marketing, sales and business development services firm.
