The new NS series of hydromechanical, two-platen presses from 1760 to 3300 tons comes from Meiki America Corp., Elk Grove Village Elk Grove Village, village (1990 pop. 33,429), Cook and Du Page counties, NE Ill., a suburb of Chicago; inc. 1956. With a population of c.100 at the time of its establishment on open farmland, the village has grown dramatically and steadily, largely because of its , Ill. The series features new, longer screw designs that are said to reduce plasticating time and provide uniform resin resin, any of a class of amorphous solids or semisolids. Resins are found in nature and are chiefly of vegetable origin. They are typically light yellow to dark brown in color; tasteless; odorless or faintly aromatic; translucent or transparent; brittle, fracturing melting. Injection capacity ranges from 1210 to 2208 lb/hr and injection rate from 870 to 1805 cc/sec. The series uses a new Vistac-alpha controller with a large touchscreen See touch screen. panel.
