Adams & Co. recently brokered an 11,500 s/f, 10year lease at The Menswear Center, 42 W. 39th St., for Perry Ellis International Perry Ellis International is a leading international marketer of clothing, offering a diverse portfolio of brands through multiple distribution channels.

 now occupies 35,000 s/for space in the menswear specialty building.

Although terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking rent for the space is $29 per square foot.

The space was formerly occupied by another clothing giant, Tommy Hilfiger Thomas Jacob Hilfiger (born March 24, 1951 in Elmira, New York) is a world-famous American fashion designer and creator of the eponymous "Tommy Hilfiger" and "Tommy" brands. Biography

 USA, Inc. The expanded area will be used for showroom space and general and executive offices for the wholesale distribution of men's wearing apparel.

The Menswear Center, an 18-story, 176,000 s/f building, features a newly renovated lobby and new windows.

"Perry Ellis is one of the most popular significant brand names for men who want to look their best," Levy said.

"The need for additional space is a testimony to the company's success. The fact that they stayed in the building is a testament to the Menswear Center and the lure of specialty buildings."

Other office tenants in the building include Tommy Hilfiger; Wear First, LLC; Bernette Knitwear; Castlewood Apparel and Bluefly.com.
