New leadership takes the helm at BOMA/NY.

Joining Lifrieri are Angelo J. Grima as vice president, Edward M. Fallon, RPA as secretary and Kenneth C. Wentworth, RPA, who is repeating his term as treasurer.

The new leadership team, which took office in January, is currently focusing on internal development and will be announcing a platform of specific issues and programs in early Spring.

Lifrieri's team will also be focusing on two critical milestones in 2007--the 40th anniversary of BOMA/NY and the 100th anniversary of BOMA International, which will host its centenary anniversary and international convention/trade show in New York in July 2007.

Each of the officers brings more than two decades of experience in the property management field to the task of representing the ownership and management needs of more than 400 million square feet of commercial and retail space, housing 3 million tenants. Over the term of his career, he has had comprehensive responsibility for managing portfolios across the tri-state area totaling more than 50 million square feet.

He has also chaired BOMA International's Emergency Preparedness Task Force and served as President of BOMA International's Middle Atlantic Conference, a regional Association encompassing 15 locals from Boston to Washington, DC. One of the most eloquent voices speaking for the industry following 9/11, Lifrieri, along with BOMA/NY Secretary Edward M. Fallon, RPA, spear-headed the making of the award-winning documentary, Everyday Heroes, to chronicle the life-saving contributions of the building industry that day. Lifrieri has also been honored as BOMA/NY's Outstanding Local Member of the Year and the Torch Foundation's Real Estate Professional of the Year.

Angelo J. Grima: Currently a Portfolio Manager for Grubb & Ellis Management Services, Grima is directly responsible for the New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  multi-facility portfolio.

Previously, he was affiliated with such major institutions as Equitable Real Estate, Mutual Benefit Life and The Greater New York Savings Bank savings bank, financial institution that, until recently, performed only the following functions: receiving savings deposits of individuals, investing them, and providing a modest return to its depositors in the form of interest. , where he was responsible for more than 12 million sf of Class A properties.

At BOMA/NY, he has distinguished himself as a key force behind New York City's adoption of the International Building Code, serving as the BOMA/NY representative on New

York City's International Code Adoption Management Committee, and as a member of the Association's Codes & Regulations/Government Affairs Committee, and the BOMA/NY World Trade Center Relief Fund.

He also served BOMA International on such committees as Building Code and Voluntary Standards and Government Affairs.

His contributions to the Association won him the BOMA/NY Pinnacle Award as Outstanding Local Member of the Year, and honors in the same category in the Mid-Atlantic regional level.

Edward M. Fallon, RPA: Director of Operations for Brookfield Properties, Fallon oversees the operation of the 14 million square feet of Class A office and mixed-use space in New York, Washington, DC and London. Fallon started with Brookfield's predecessor company, Olympia & York in 1977, has steadily risen through the ranks and is known for mentoring the firm's management workforce.

Joining his colleague Anthony Lifrieri, Fallon spoke nationwide on the response of the building management profession to the tragedy of 9/ 11, bringing a new sense of respect and deeper appreciation for the life-saving role the industry plays for millions of America's tenants.

He was recognized by BOMA/NY as the Outstanding Local member of the Year in 2002-2003 and the Real Estate "Leader of the Year" by the Irish American Building Society in 2002-3.

He has served on the Advocacy Committee, the Board of Directors, and the Pinnacle Awards Committee as Board liaison. Kenneth C. Wentworth, RPA: Wentworth is entering his second term as BOMA/NY's Treasurer, having just completed a term from 2003-2005. A Vice President of Western Management Corporation, Wentworth has been in the management profession for more than two decades. He is responsible for all leasing, construction and property management of the firm's New York area properties.

He chairs BOMA/NY's Finance Committee and is the board liaison for the Association's Membership Committee.
