New journals published by Elsevier Science.

Elsevier Science (Philadelphia, PA) has begun the publication of five new journals, including Journal of the AmericanMedical Directors Association (JAMDA), Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC), Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP) and Heart Failure Clinics

(HFC), as well as the annual, Year Book of Hand and Upper Limb Surgery.

JAMDA is the official publication of the AMDA (Columbia, MD). Produced six times a year, it includes information on professional development for health care practitioners with editorial coverage of issues expecially relevant to those professionals providing long-term care. An annual subscription to the journal costs $235.

JANAC, also published six times a year, is targeted to nurses and nurse practitioners in AIDS care and covers the spectrum of related issues, including education, treatment, prevention, research, practice, policies and program development. Editorial offers updates on health care delivery, program implementation and research analysis and application. An annual subscription costs $361.

RSAP is a quarterly title targeted to professionals and researchers in pharmacy practice and medication-use policy, as well as academicians, clinicians and consultants. It features articles and reports on such topics as outcomes research, patient education, program evaluation, direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription medications, medication adherence, health systems reform, web-based pharmacies, reimportation, and health profession workforce issues. An annual subscription costs $219.

HFC, published three times a year, is targeted to cardiac professionals and is the latest addition to Elsevier's "Clinics" series of journals. Elsevier said it "encompasses everything you need to know about the current literature" dealing with heart and cardiac diagnosis and treatment. An annual subscription costs $169.
