New journals from Taylor & Francis.Taylor & Francis (Philadelphia, PA), a unit of Informa Group, has begun the publication of four new journals, including "International Journal of Pediatric Obesity," "Geomechanics & Geoengineering," "Environmental Bioindicators" and "Disability & Rehabilitation." The "International Journal of Pediatric Obesity" is a quarterly journal devoted to research into obesity during childhood and adolescence. Content includes information on: epidemiology and population-based studies; clinical management of overweight and obese children; recognition and treatment of co-morbidities linked to obesity; measurement and diagnostic issues; life cycle factors; and, common preventative measures. An annual subscription costs $320 for institutions and $138 for individuals. Also produced quarterly, "Geomechanics and Geoengineering" deals with application of mechanics to earth materials such as material behavior, design and construction, as well as engineering principles related to geo-materials, including foundation engineering, tunneling, rock engineering, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering. An annual subscription costs $295 for institutions and $99 for individuals. The objective of "Environmental Bioindicators" is to provide information on environmental health and protection, environmental management, restoration needs and and the scientific bases and uses of bioindicators and biomarkers of environmental stress. Published quarterly, an annual subscription costs $395 for institutions and $250 for individuals. "Disability and Rehabilitation" will be published 24 times a year with a separate volume, "Disability and Rehabilitation: Assistive Technology Specialized Keyboard This membrane keyboard from IntelliTools provides a 24x24 cell matrix that can be custom programmed.
