New journals from Springer.Springer Science + Business (New York) has begun the publication of two new journals, including "Sustainability Science" and "Food Biophysics 1. The study of biological processes using the theories and tools of physics. 2. The study of physical processes occurring in living organisms. bi o·phys i·cal adj.bi." Both titles will be published quarterly and an annual subscription costs $250 for the former and $188 for the latter journal, respectively. "Sustainability Science" is designed to provide a platform for sustainability science and the way to a sustainable global society. It promotes predictions and impact assessments of global changes with information on clear benchmarks for the restoration of global, social and human systems and their interaction. Those systems include: global systems including natural resources, energy and ecosystems that support human life; social systems comprising national economies, governments, industries and technological structures; and human systems including lifestyles, health, safety, security and human values. "Food Biophysics" publishes physical and chemical studies of food structure, properties, and functions and their relationship to the molecular structure and properties of food materials.
