Addictive disease disorders are characterized by the chronic use of a drug (such as heroin, cocaine, or amphetamines), alcohol, or similar substances.
 & Their Treatment, a quarterly journal, and Steadmans@Work, an online service for medical language specialists.

Addictive Disorders is an international journal covering clinical research and treatment issues related to the misuse of alcohol and licit and illicit drugs and the study and treatment of addictive disorders and their behaviors. Targeted to psychiatrists, clinical psychologists This list includes notable Clinical Psychologists and contributors to Clinical psychology, some of whom may not have thought of themselves primarily as Clinical psychologists but are included here because of their important contributions to the discipline.  and primary care practitioners, the title also includes best practices, reviews of current examples of diagnosis and treatment and case reviews. Steadmans@Work is a subscription service targeted to transcriptionists, writers, editors, court reporters, medical records personnel, coders and other medical language specialists. The service includes a medical/surgical equipment words search engine, a library of sample reports and a medical word terminology e-mail question/ answer product. An annual subscription costs $30.
