New high school touts math/science/tech.


Not long after President Bush pushed for more math, science and technology in school, a new public high school emphasizing those very subjects will open this fall in Ohio.

Batelle, which develops technology and manages labs for customers, The Ohio State University Ohio State University, main campus at Columbus; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1870, opened 1873 as Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1878. There are also campuses at Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark.  and the Educational Council recently unveiled Metro High School Metro High School may refer to:
  • Metro High School (Iowa) — Cedar Rapids, Iowa
  • Metro Academic and Classical High School — St. Louis, Missouri
 that will open with about 100 ninth graders this fall, in the research park next to Ohio State's campus.

Metro is a small, public high school for grades 9-12 that will prepare students for college success. The unique school will have juniors and seniors participate in hands-on hands-on
