New features in 2008 LEXION combines.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The 2008 LEXION combines from CLAAS include a color screen CEBIS on-board combine monitoring system for quick and easy access to view and adjust machine performance. The CEBIS monitoring system features a new easy-to-read, color format, sharper resolution and an antiglare screen. A heavy duty drive on selected models is designed to handle heavier headers. It is an option on class eight 580/585R LEXION combines using a 12-row chopping corn head. This optional configuration is designed to handle the heavier weight and power demand of a 12-row, 30-inch chopping LEXION corn head. For fast chopper speed adjustments, a new rear chopper drive tensioner provides the ability to quickly switch chopper drive speed from corn to soybeans and back with the flip of a lever. The lever allows the operator to easily and quickly remove tension from the drive so the belt position can switch between high and low speeds. The table also minimizes loss by extending under the crop prior to contact with the reel. As an enhancement over the V530 (30ft.), the V535 utilizes a two-piece split reel and two-piece split auger design to provide customers the highest level of reliability and durability. Also new in 2008 is an ergonomically designed, multifunction control lever. CLAAS says the lever reduces operator fatigue by providing a high degree of accuracy and ease of use.
