"Cultural Studies of Science Education," launched with a January issue, is designed to provide "new perspectives and new approaches" to science education, Springer said. Content explores science and science education as forms of culture, provides information relevant to ongoing problems associated with studies of science and science education and covers new methodological advances that pertain to pertain to

 scholarly activities. Content addresses the uses of CSCL in education, business and society in general and carries articles written from the perspective of education, computer science, information technology, psychology, communication, linguistics, sociology and business. It will be produced six times a year and an annual subscription costs $317.

"Metacognition" addresses various components of metacognition, including awareness, experiences, knowledge and executive skills, as well as specific metacognition in various task domains such as mathematics, physics, reading, writing, etc.). It includes information on learning strategies, developmental issues, the training of metacognition components in learning, measurement issues for methods and fundamental theoretical issues. Published quarterly, an annual subscription costs $231.
