consumer information on hardware and software from a broad spectrum of computer companies. By calling a free 800 number (800-FAXX-JCN), viewers will receive a faxed hard copy of the complete JCNfax company menu, which includes a list of computer companies and products. Once the viewer chooses products of interest, they simply call JCNfax and input the appropriate document numbers. Within minutes, the information is sent to the person's fax machine or computer fax modem.

Viewers will be encouraged to take advantage of the JCNfax service through cross-promotions that will air on the JCN and ME/U cable channels. Advertisers can use JCNfax as a way to provide interested viewers with more detailed product information. By utilizing JCNfax, advertisers can complement their JCN and ME/U on-air on-air

advertisements. As another valuable resource for JCN and ME/U viewers, JCNfax rounds out the already vast amount of information viewers can gain from the two networks. To test JCNfax, call 1-800-FAXX-JCN (560-6463) and request document number 1000.

To advertise on JCNfax, companies must prepare a two-page document and fax it directly to JCNfax. Advertisers may include product descriptions, hardware and software requirements, display advertising, and even a manufacturer coupon. Advertisers will be billed an average monthly rate of $250 per calendar month plus $1-$3 per fax lead. To handle marketing research for JCNfax advertisers, the JCNfax computer system will automatically capture request information by category. In addition, the system will generate reports for advertisers that detail the number of calls per month by area code, plus a product category total. Companies can call 800/414-4771 for more information on how they can advertise on JCNfax.

"JCNfax is an inexpensive way to keep a body of product information in front of a company's potential customers," said Jerry Jer·ry
