New company to launch mag for podcasting industry in May.


A new company, ID3 Media (Naperville Naperville (nā`pərvĭl), city (1990 pop. 85,351), Du Page co., NE Ill., on the Du Page River, in a farm area; settled 1831–32, inc. as a city 1890. It is a major office and corporate center that grew markedly in the late 20th cent. , IL) will begin the publication of "ID3 Podcast Magazine" with a May/June issue. The new magazine will be published six times a year for all those, including both professionals and individuals/consumers, involved in podcasting Recording a non-music audio broadcast (news, sports, discussion, etc.) in the MP3 format for playback in a digital music player. On the Web, there are countless brochures, data sheets, white papers and technical manuals in the PDF format. , online and podcast editions. Dedicated to "serving podcasters," the new magazine will carry editorial content covering all aspects of podcasting, including feature stories, trend articles, podcast profiles, tips and advice, new products and technologies, podcast reviews, equipment and software reviews, industry lists, news, reader polls, podcast excerpts and commentary.

The first two issues will include information on: bloggers adoption of podcasting, podcasting as marketing, podcasting in the UK, corporate use of podcasting, music, production advice, copyright and other legal issues, attracting listeners, establishing a format, podcast service providers, and best practices in podcasting. The podcast edition will carry full length interviews, outtakes, extended discussions and related materials. Content will be available via the company's web site (id3mag.com) prior to the magazine's launch.
